Principal VA Services privacy policy statement

Creating a Privacy Policy

As awareness and concerns about the protection of personal information is increasing worldwide, it is important that businesses, both small and large, implement and provide their site visitors with a comprehensive privacy policy.

What is a privacy policy?

A privacy policy is a statement that discloses some or all of the ways a website collects, uses, discloses, and manages the data of its visitors and customers. It fulfils a legal requirement to protect a visitor or client's privacy.

Countries around the world have their own laws with different requirements per jurisdiction regarding the use of privacy policies.

There are multiple aspects of privacy law that all website owners must comply with when handling personal information.  Below is a list of topics we have considered when implementing our privacy policy for our website:

What type of information do we collect?

The information we collect about you is very basic, usually just your name, telephone, email address, company name if applicable, address and sometimes your job title. We may augment this information with the products and services you’ve used with us or other information you’ve given to us about services we offer which you may be interested in.

We receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website contact form or provide us in any other way.  We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. We also collect personally identifiable information (including name, email, communications); payment details, comments, feedback, reviews and recommendations.

We also, by mutual agreement, require access to online and cloud based services in order to transfer information and documents between us and our clients.

How do we collect information?

When you use our services, as part of the process, we collect personal information you give us such as your name, phone number, address and email address. Your personal information will be used for the specific reasons of communicating with you about work we are carrying out for you or regarding payment.

Why do we collect such personal information?

We collect such Non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes:

  1. To provide and operate the Services;

  2. To provide our Users with ongoing customer assistance and support;

  3. To be able to contact our Visitors and Users with general or personalized service-related notices and promotional messages;

  4. To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred Non-personal Information, which we or our business partners may use to provide and improve our respective services;

  5. To comply with any applicable laws and regulations.

How we store, use, share and disclose our site visitors personal information.

Principal VA Services is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our services to you. Your data (email, contact details, IP address)  may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by Prinicipal VA Services adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

We do not sell or share your details with third parties unless it is to carry out assignments for you on our behalf.  Your details will only be passed on to a third party VA with your permission if they are undertaking tasks on our behalf. You will have the right to ask this third party to destroy your details should you require.
